I work for World-Around Records. We're a startup company and I'm working 16 hour days to keep up. It's hard work because there's no road map, but I love what I do. Audible Hype is a platform for me to share everything I'm learning. I believe that open source works better than selfish prick, and I believe that empowering other independent musicians will do more to improve our culture than me keeping this information to myself.
I'm also a rapper, which is obviously why I started a record label. My original group, Wombaticus Rex, is ending this summer and my new outlets are Algorhythms (with Dr. Quandary) and my sex party rap project, Humpasaur Jones.
On good days, I am interested in everything in the Universe. I've written for a lot of websites and I still do. I work for Back Brain Media, and I run Brainsturbator, Skilluminati Research and of course Hump Jones, our sex education program.
The site is almost done, and in the meantime, we're giving away 4 albums: Dr. Quandary's "Quanny Sitar," S. Maharba's "She," "Keep it Moist" from Humpasaur Jones and the infamous Japan EP, courtesy of DJ Multiple Sex Partners. Enjoy.
From the upcoming album Pure Fucking Love -- three new tracks on the devil myspace.

All drums are Ryan Hare, all guitar is me, all programming by DJ Multiple Sex Partners. Enjoy -- very heavy new material on the way. Album in 08? I think yes.
I got a huge kick out of reading this...I knew there was a reason I liked this guy. Still the best Music 2.0 writer, in my humble.

Came home from work, got a wee bit stoned, and put this old album on. I still dig it. It's being given away free and I redesigned the MSP site. Up next: the Copyright Infringement page.

The most meaty and focused article of the series, from Audible Hype. Examining the new landscape and kicking common sense in the nuts a few times.

A short rant about the vapid nature of the recent discussion and journalism about the "new music business." I hope none of this qualifies as complaining, I should actually go back over this article with that in mind. Note to self: SOLUTIONS, YOU FOOL!
...and it's remarkable how much Andrew Dubber already scooped him. A mid-length, excellent read from visionary power weirdo Seth Godin.

At least, so far. Who knows what will come out after this. A look at the business behind the "new" Rawkus 50 model of music promotion.
A simple breakdown of how to invest $10,000 into a profitable record label. Criticism, advice, feedback is more than welcome. Thanks in advance.
